ON THE ISSUES

Fiscal Conservative leadership means living within our means—spending wisely, cutting waste, and ensuring that every tax dollar works for the people who earned it. Our focus should always be on supporting programs that strengthen our community’s safety, stability, and opportunity—not expanding government or funding unnecessary handouts.
Yellowstone County is built on hard work and personal responsibility. As your Commissioner, I will continue to preserve those values and ensure that local government respects taxpayers, promotes accountability, and keeps our community on solid financial ground.

Public safety must remain a top priority in Yellowstone County. Keeping our streets safe means standing firmly with law enforcement, giving them the tools they need to do their jobs, and ensuring criminals are held fully accountable for their actions. A stronger, safer community begins with a justice system that works—and that includes approving the jail expansion so our officers aren’t forced to release dangerous offenders back into our neighborhoods.
As Commissioner, I will continue to focus on real, practical steps that make our county safer. That means supporting our deputies, ensuring the justice system has the resources it needs, and backing policies that keep repeat offenders off our streets. Public safety shouldn’t be political—it should be common sense. My priority is simple: protect families, support law enforcement, and make Yellowstone County a place where people feel safe in their homes, neighborhoods, and businesses.

While the Public Service Commission oversees regulation of Montana’s energy providers, it is the responsibility of the County Commission to support and approve the infrastructure that keeps our communities powered. In an energy-rich county like ours, Montanans deserve affordable, reliable power—and we must ensure that our own needs are met before sending our resources to other states.
As County Commissioner, I believe true energy independence begins right here at home. That means expanding and modernizing energy infrastructure in Yellowstone County so we can generate more power, reduce costs for families, and keep more money in the pockets of hardworking Montanans. Investing in local energy development isn’t just smart policy—it’s a commitment to protecting our economy, strengthening our grid, and securing Montana’s future.

True leadership begins with service—listening, understanding, and putting the community first. It means leading by example, working hard, and finding practical solutions that build trust between local government and the people it serves. As Commissioner, I will approach every issue with humility and purpose, guided by integrity, transparency, and a commitment to strengthening Yellowstone County.
Public service should be about results, not rhetoric. I’m not a career politician; I’m a community member with over 35 years of business leadership and service on local boards. Those experiences taught me that progress comes from common sense, accountability, and collaboration—not political theater. As Commissioner, I’ll continue to listen, prioritize the needs of our county, and focus on what matters most: strengthening our community.
